The FA Cup was vital  win in terms of being a passport into Europe(Europa cup) and providing new funds and fresh hope of strengthening and rebuilding this squad.

TWO UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI CHESS PLAYERS PARTICIPATE IN THE FIDE ONLINE OLYMPIAD 2020

Following announcement by International Chess Federation (FIDE) regarding the FIDE Online Olympiad 2020 - ONLINE - which will take place from July 22nd till August 30th, 2020,Chess Kenya has confirmed participation. Two of the participants are University of Nairobi Students.

Students who are living with disability are encouraged to apply for the 2 scholarships namely;  Programme for Evidence to Inform Disability Action(PENDA) and Development Pathways - Krystle Kabare Scholarship  

The successful candidates  will have a golden  opportunity to study at the University of Nairobi . The Scholarships are as follows:

Conor McGregor has announced his retirement from UFC

Conor McGregor has announced his retirement from UFC for the third time in four years.

The 31-year-old Irish former featherweight and lightweight champion issued the statement on his Twitter account, where he also announced his retirement in 2016 and 2019.

McGregor wrote: "Hey guys I've decided to retire from fighting. Thank you all for the amazing memories! What a ride it's been!

He added: "We'll see what the future holds. But for right now, for the immediate future, 2020, all the best to it."

The University of Nairobi, Mombasa Campus food donation to Mombasa county

The University of Nairobi, Mombasa Campus staff and students, led by the Campus Director, Dr. Sarah Kinyanjui and the University of Nairobi Alumni Association, Mombasa Chapter Chairman, Mr. Mark Nyandiko handed over foodstuff and sanitary towels to H.E. Governor Joho in support of the Mombasa County Household Relief Project. The Campus remains cognisant that the war against COVID 19 requires individual and collective effort.
