Built in the grind. Proven in competition. Crowned champions.
UON Basketball, famously known as The Terrorists, have capped off an inspiring season defined by resilience, discipline, and relentless hard work. From intense training sessions to tough league battles, the team’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable.
Competing in a highly competitive Premier League, UON Basketball finished 8th overall, a testament to their growth and fighting spirit against some of the country’s top sides. But it was on the university stage where their true character shone brightest.
The Terrorists rose to the occasion at the Kenya Universities Sports Federation (KUSF-Federation) Championships 2025, delivering dominant performances and unshakable belief to emerge as KUSF-Federation Champions 2025 🏆. The title was a clear reward for consistency, teamwork, and mental toughness built over the season.
At the heart of this success is the team’s sole coach, Dr. Eugene Kalman Genga. Balancing his demanding professional career as a doctor with coaching responsibilities, Dr. Genga’s commitment, leadership, and belief in the players have been instrumental. His guidance on and off the court has shaped not just better basketball players, but disciplined and focused student-athletes.
As the celebrations settle, one message remains clear within the camp — the work continues. For UON Basketball, this is not the end, but another step forward in a journey driven by grind, hunger, and the pursuit of excellence.
